What do all these countries have in common? *Answer at the bottom of post
Now on to my music choices.
I have never used a lot of music to get me up the hills or to enjoy a delightful view by. This year will be different. I have loaded my Ipod Shuffle with a wide variety of tunes for my listening pleasure. These run the whole gamut from Contemporary Christian to Movie theme songs to Survivor and Lady Gaga. Throw in a little Neil Young, Elton John, and Queen, and I have a well rounded music library. I am planning on adding some Lionel Richie, Pet Shop Boys, Michael Jackson, Mike and the Mechanics, and Gloria Estafan tomorrow.
My favorite songs are the 80's, yes, I'm was a young 20 something in the 80's. There was no better movies or music or time than the 1980's. The music and movies were fun, and the economy was booming. The fashion was also fun, though at times a bit over the top.
While working these past 6 months, I was instructed to wear just one earbud in my ear at all times. I think this will be a good idea on the trail also. Most of the time, I'll probably only be wearing the one, so I can listen for little things like rattlesnakes. I don't want to have my attention only on the music. I do play my music low, but I want to be able to really know if I'm headed for something dangerous.

If anyone has any questions about anything concerning the trail, feel free to ask. I may or may not be able to tell you. Or if there is something you would like to know more about, and you don't feel I have covered it adequately, let me know.

I will be posting my next post either Saturday night or Sunday night, as I am traveling on this amazing trip. Stay tuned.
